Our Programs

Day Support

We offer a Day Support Program for Individuals with more severe disabilities. This program is based on each individual’s strengths and needs, and offers a varying degree of skills training. This is the most intense program that we offer. Individuals in this program receive instruction in daily living. They are given the opportunity to participate in community activities such as going out to eat, purchasing at local stores and visiting the library , and activities they would not otherwise have the opportunity to do. Community integration is very important for individuals with severe disabilities. They are often isolated and do not have the supports to become part of the community. Also, as part of the curriculum in this group, we focus on domestic skills such as vacuuming, dusting, washing clothes and meal preparation. Other areas of focus for this group are gross and fine motor skills, social skills, communication skills, leisure skills, and pre-vocational skills.

Vocational Program

Individuals pre-qualified for our Vocational Program generally have a higher functioning rate than those of the Day Support Program. They begin the Assessment phase focusing primarily on vocational strengths and needs . Most of these individuals maintain their own hygiene and simple daily living skills independently or with limited supports. The Vocational Program offers a variety of curriculum that each individual has the opportunity to choose from, These include life skills, workplace preparations, work skills, social skills, community skills and other areas that are specified by their assessment.

Supported Employment

The Supported Employment Program is individually based and provides our consumers the opportunity to become competitively employed with-in the community, obtaining the supports necessary to achieve success. Each consumer is evaluated on the job and matched with an appropriate job consistent with their life goals, needs, and available supports. This program is the next step for many of our consumers and enables them to grow up through their challenges and move towards self-sufficiency.

Student Transition Program

The Student Transition Program enables students with disabilities with in the Warren County Public School system the opportunity to receive a jump start on their vocational needs and goals. It starts during their junior and senior years. This enables them to obtain the proper work place supports prior to exiting the school system as to ease the transition from school to work. The students in this program participate in vocational program curriculum and individual trainings. This program is developed in conjunction with the Warren County Public School System.
